Years ago, while planting a church in Spain, a friend and I took some time off to swim in the Mediterranean. We drove for miles up and down the winding, mountainous coast until we spotted a beautiful, private cove. The aqua-blue water, from a distance, looked spectacular. My friend ran down the trail, arrived at the water and dove in. Seconds later, he let out a scream, "Don't come in the water," he hollered. "It's polluted@" He had unfortunately discovered, first-hand, that under the surface lurked all kinds of garbage that had washed into the cove. The pristine waters had been spoiled.
